Choosing Kitchen Countertops in Charlotte: Quartz, Butcher Block, and More
Quartz is the default kitchen counter in Charlotte for a reason: heat, kids, and resale. Jesminov still likes a walnut butcher-block island in a Davidson or Lake Norman house that wants a warm center. Marble is beautiful and is a maintenance conversation we will have before you fall in love with a slab that etches the first time someone sets a lemon down.
We template after cabinets are set and lagged — never from a drawing of cabinets that do not exist yet. Seams are planned on the drawing so they do not land in the middle of the island seating. Undermount sinks get a plywood build-up, not a prayer.
Sequence so the kitchen is not down for a month
Cabinets in, template, fabricate, install, then backsplash. If a fabricator is stacked, you hear it at the schedule meeting, not when you are eating takeout on day 19. Lake Norman humidity is why we acclimate wood tops in the house, not in a truck.

Yes, with the right slab and a lag plan. It is not a last-minute add-on.
