TV Accent Walls with Hidden Wires, Done Clean
A TV accent wall that still looks like a living room — not a man cave — is blocking, a wire chase, a mount rated for the panel, and a finish that matches the rest of the house. Jesminov builds these in Fort Mill and Indian Trail great rooms every month. We find studs, add blocking, run HDMI and power to a low outlet, and design a soundbar shelf in the slat or box, not as a glued afterthought.
The center line of the TV is set for the seating, not for the fireplace mantel someone installed at 72 inches. If those two fight, we say so on the drawing. Fireplace heat and a TV in a tight niche is a ventilation conversation.
What “hidden wires” really means
A chase in the wall or in the slat cavity, not a raceway painted in hope. Power where the electrician wants it. A service loop so the next TV swap does not rip the wall open. We coordinate the electrician before the carcass or slats go in.
Carpentry: accent walls. Built-in cabinets around the screen: custom furniture.
Quick answers
Soundbar in the slats?
Yes, with a shelf and a gap so it can actually hear the room.
Can you hide a soundbar in a drawer?
Drawers fight acoustics. A slat gap is better.
Same day?
Blocking and electrical often need a longer window than a simple slat wall.
