Bedroom Accent Walls That Don’t Keep You Awake
Bedroom accent walls should let you sleep. Darker behind the bed, lighter on the other three walls, no high-gloss in a west-facing Davidson or Cornelius room that already cooks at 5 p.m. Jesminov builds upholstered or wood headboard walls with a mid-rail, or hangs a quiet wallpaper, usually in a day once materials are on site. Carpet is protected. The rest of the house stays livable.
Skip a busy geometric over the bed if you are sensitive to pattern. Texture and a calm color do more for a primary suite than a print you will count at 2 a.m. Kids’ rooms can take more color; we still prep like it is a living room.
Headboard walls
A mid-rail so pillows have a stop. Fabric that can be cleaned. Wood that is not splintering at 3 a.m. Outlets stay reachable. We will not bury a junction box behind an upholstered panel without a plan to get it back.

Quick answers
Paint only?
Sometimes paint is enough. We will say so rather than sell slats you do not need.
Noise?
Slats with felt help a little. They are not a studio treatment.
Master and guest the same?
Guest can take a louder paper. You have to sleep in the primary.
